PHOTOGRAPHERS have been getting snap happy for a Leamington exhibition.

The Leamington Studio Artists (LSA) Open Competition saw more than 40 people enter photos, which are now on display at East Lodge in Jephson Gardens.

The competition was judged by Josh King from the London Camera Exchange, who looked at composition, subject matter and quality to choose the winner.

Tony Cartwright scooped the top prize of £100 for his work titled ‘The Shed’.

Works to receive a special mention included ‘Corridor, Library of Birmingham’ by Jeremy Foster, ‘Pair of Trees at Compton Verney by Kay West and ‘Poppy Seeds’ by Cyril Ginn.

A prize is still up for grabs for the ‘People’s Choice’, where visitors to the exhibition can cast their vote.

LSA trustee Meurig Hughes said: “We are delighted so many photographers are taking part. This has enabled our team of dedicated volunteers to put on another inspiring exhibition.

“We hope as many people as possible visit us and cast their vote for their own favourite.”

The exhibition runs until Sunday March 4.
