Picking pumpkins for The Myton Hospices

Leamington Editorial 15th Oct, 2019   0

THE COUNTDOWN to Halloween is on – with a chance to pick your own pumpkins and support The Myton Hospices.

A bumper crop of some 10,000 pumpkins is now ready to harvest at Hilltop Farm in Hunningham.

From October 19 to 31 – stock permitting – farm visitors will be able to take a vintage tractor ride to the pumpkin patch to pick their own fruit, before taking their pumpkins home to carve in time for All Hallow’s Eve.

Pumpkins will be sold by weight and a donation from every sale will be given to The Myton Hospices.

The pumpkin field will be open between 10am and 4pm each day, with tractor rides every 30 minutes.

Spokeswoman Lotte Ellis said: “We’re delighted to be supporting The Myton Hospices and will be donating 10p from every pumpkin sold, potentially raising up to £1,000. The more pumpkins picked, the better, so head on down for Halloween.”
