PICTURE SPECIAL: Pub in the Park comes to Leamington

PUB in the Park headed to Leamington at the weekend for the first time with a line up of top chefs, pubs and music.

Previously held in neighbouring St Nicholas Park in Warwick, it took place in Victoria Park from June 30 to July 2.

Geordie chef synonymous with comfort food cooking, Si King of Hairy Bikers fame, hosted Saturday of the festival, alongside Sunday Brunch host Simon Rimmer.

And award-winning chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen joined the fun on Lazy Sunday. Festival-goers were treated to exclusive Q&A’s and live demos.




Other chefs and experts who popped along included Andy Clarke, Chris Bavin, Ellen Manning aka Eat with Ellen, Sam & Shauna and more, who dished out cooking tips on the Miele Chef Demo Stage.

New up and coming restaurants never before seen at Pub in the Park brought new flavours to experience from local legends Dough & Brew and an eclectic mix of gastro delights from Leamington locals The Drawing Board, as well as refined country pub favourites from The White Lion.


If that wasn’t enough, Tom Kerridge’s two Michelin-starred The Hand and Flowers was also dishing up, alongside Michelin starred Purnell’s and an Indian culinary experience from Mr Todiwala’s Kitchen.

They were joined by big music names.

On Friday night, Bananarama brought the party for opening night, joined by The Beatles Dub Club.

Crowd-pleasing English trio Toploader headlined Saturday afternoon supported by the Dick and Dom DJ set.

Saturday evening saw Ronan Keating and Deco take to the stage. They were joined by 80s collective Soul II Soul Soundsystem who closed the festival on Lazy Sunday, alongside The Christians.
