PICTURE SPECIAL: Thousands flock to Kenilworth Show

A LIVESTOCK parade and laser clay shooting were just some of the highlights of Kenilworth Show at the weekend.

Thousands flocked to Warwickshire’s largest agricultural show near Stoneleigh on Saturday (June 3) to take in a bumper crop of displays and exhibitors.

Bolddog FMX wowed the crowds with a freestyle motocross display in the main ring, which also hosted classic showcases including vintage and modern machinery, a livestock parade and classic cars as well as family favourite events from the sheep show to birds of prey.

A simulated laser clay shooting range was available for visitors to try their hand at winning two tickets to next year’s Kenilworth Show if they topped the leader board.

The Discovery Barn, a designated area for education for all ages, included a range of hands-on activities with cows and sheep, and chances to learn about horticulture and wildlife.

And there were also more than 125 trade stands with a wide range arts and crafts, jewellery and homeware, as well as artisan breads and pies.

The WI provided tea, coffee and cakes, while the homecraft marquee saw hundreds of local creators compete for the top prize across 80 classes including floral art and home baking.
