PLANS to demolish a Leamington nightclub and create multiple occupancy apartments are set to be refused when discussed on Tuesday.
Warwick District Council planning committee has been recommended to reject the proposals at the site of Rio’s nightclub in Bedford Street.
The proposals outline replacing the nightclub with a four story building, containing 46 bedrooms arranged in eight clusters, with shared kitchen, living and dining room.
Objections highlight the size of the development and lack of parking.
But councillors have been recommended to grant permission for shops and 65 student flats at Kenilworth’s Talisman Square.
The proposal for the five story L-shaped building has met with a number of objections.
