POETIC pupils in Warwick put pen to paper in celebration of Shakespeare.

Youngsters at Heathcote Primary School marked Shakespeare Day on April 23 by taking part in a poetry competition organised by developer David Wilson Homes.

Pupils wrote verse describing their homes for display in the marketing suite of the developer’s Poets Meadow development on Harbury Lane.

The winning entry was penned by Tanishka, who received a £25 book token, while four runners-up each received a £10 book token.

Headteacher Lara Jeffries said: “Our children love to write. We are enormously proud of our poets and their accomplishments and look forward to seeing how they develop their skills as they progress through Heathcote Primary School.

“How lovely to be able to acknowledge their super skills with this generous award to each of them from David Wilson Homes.”
