Police appeal to recover elderly resident's pearls

A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of theft in Lillington after an elderly resident’s pearl necklace was stolen.

The 25-year-old from Leamington has been released under investigation and police are continuing to appeal for information to recover the jewellery.

The pearl necklace was taken from a home in Mason Avenue sometime on Monday afternoon August 5. Two diamond rings were also stolen from the victim – who is in her 90s – in July.

Anyone with information or who recognise the jewellery, which may have been for sale, should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
