Police hunt baseball bat wielding thugs following Leamington attack

POLICE are hunting attackers reportedly armed with a baseball bat who struck in Leamington.

A man in his twenties was taken to hospital with head and rib injuries after being assaulted on Sydenham Drive around 11.20am on Wednesday.

The victim, in his twenties, was assaulted by two men reportedly armed with a baseball bat. The suspects are then believed to have met with another man before they drove off in a blue vehicle.

The injured man was conscious when taken by ambulance to hospital.




Police temporarily cordoned off part of the busy road, at the junction with Berrington Road, following the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has any other information or has dash cam/CCTV from the area should call 101 quoting incident 125 of 27 May 2020. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
