POLICE are appealing for help identifying this man after fake currency was used at a Warwick supermarket.

Two men entered the petrol station of the Tesco store on Emscote Road around 5.30pm on Friday December 5 and attempted to use counterfeit Scottish bank notes.

One of the men managed to buy a pack of Lambert and Butler cigarettes but both left in an unknown direction after being challenged on the authenticity of the bank notes.

The first man is described as white, in his late 20’s and of a slim build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a dark-coloured camouflaged jacket and beige-coloured skinny fit trousers.

The second man is described as white, in his late 30’s to early 40’s, bald and was wearing dark clothing.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
