Police re-appeal for witnesses following fatal collision

POLICE are re-appealing for witnesses following the death of a pedestrian hit by a car in south Warwickshire.

Fifty-five year-old Mohammed Mahmood was pronounced dead at the scene on the A422 near Oxhill following the collision on January 4 around 6am.

Det Sgt Stephen Barr of Warwickshire Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Mahmood’s family and friends as they come to terms with this tragic incident.

“We’re continuing to investigate the collision and urging anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw Mr Mahmood on the road network prior to the collision to make contact with us please.”




Mr Mahmood lived in Reading in Berkshire and in a statement his family said: “He was truly blessed and our prayers are with him.”
