Police seek information on 'distinctive' helmet after Warwick robbery

Leamington Editorial 15th Dec, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

A DISTINCTIVE blue motorcycle helmet could hold the key to more information about two robberies in Leamington and Warwick.

The helmet has a red or orange sticker/emblem above the visor and police are looking to speak to the man who was wearing it in connection with the incidents.

The first took place around 8.20pm on Monday evening (December 14) at a food outlet on Tachbrook Park Drive while the second saw approximately £250 in cash taken from a petrol station on Stratford Road in Warwick just two hours later.

Police have released a CCTV image of the man, who is described as being between 5ft 5in and 5ft 10in and of a larger build.

He was wearing a dark coloured jacket and light grey jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Sara Taylor said: “We are urging anyone with information about the incidents, or who recognises the individual pictured to contact us.

“The helmet is distinctive and we are confident someone will know who it belongs to.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
