Police seek witness to Leamington sexual assault

A POTENTIAL witness to an early morning sexual assault in Leamington is being sought by police.

It is understood the woman in her 20s approached a 19-year-old man wearing a short-sleeved top and jeans at the junction with Tachbrook Road and St Helen’s Road minutes before she was attacked by another man around 3.20am on Saturday (September 3).

Police are keen to speak to the man as they believe he may have vital information to help identify the attacker, who is described as a white man, around 25 years old , of large build, with dark brown hair.

He was wearing a grey hooded top and jeans and spoke with an eastern European accent.




Detective Constable Paula Poland, said: “Inquires into the assault remain ongoing.

“We urgently need to trace this man who we believe was approached by the victim seeking help.


“If this was you or you have information regarding the identity of this man, please contact us as soon as possible.”
