Leamington Editorial 4th Dec, 2017   0

POLICE have stepped up patrols in Southam after reports of gunfire at a home in the town.

Officers rushed to a house in Kestrel Row on Sunday night (December 3) after receiving calls from a person at the property, and neighbours, at around 10pm.

No one was injured but there was damage to a door believed to have been caused by a gunshot.

Forensic tests are being carried out at the scene together with house to house inquiries.

Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone who saw a dark grey estate type vehicle in the area at the time

Det Ins Tim Sharp said: “We have no reports of any injuries, however this is a very concerning incident for both the resident and the local community and we have additional patrols in the area to provide reassurance.”

Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
