Police trying to trace cyclist from Harbury crash scene

POLICE are looking for a cyclist who was at the scene of a crash in Harbury.

A 71 year-old woman suffered serious head injuries when she was in collision with a bicycle on Bush Lane around 12.30am on November 19.

The woman was walking with a family member at the time of the crash was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where she later died as a result of her injuries.

A cyclist stopped to help at the scene but left when the air ambulance arrived and did not leave any contact details.

Officers investigating the incident would like to speak to him and anyone else who was in Bush Lane at the time. The lane, which runs between Harbury and Bishops Itchington, is popular with walkers and cyclists so it is likely that there were other people around.

Anyone with information should call Warwickshire Police on 101.
