THEY remain busy in Warwick making poppies.
The Warwick Poppies project was launched in September to create giant wall installation in St St Mary’s Church to mark the centenary of the ending of the First World War next year.
Organisers say they have far collected over a 1,000 poppies, and are set to receive more from a number of displays from schools across the district.
They hope to reach a total of 11,500 – the number of Warwickshire men who lost their lives in World War I.
A group spokesman said: “We have been blown away by the support.
“We had 500 from one lady alone, 1368 Squadron Air Cadets delivered a shoebox full, as well as poppies arriving this week from USA, Durham and Cardiff. ”
