THE CHRISTMAS Tree Festival held annually by St Mary’s Church in Warwick has gone virtual this year.
The church in Old Square has launched a virtual equivalent of its popular festival which sees a number of trees showcased around the building.
The team has created a website displaying pictures of trees and seasonal messages from 45 festival supporters including businesses, school and charities.
It also includes details of services to be held and streamed from St Mary’s over the Christmas period, a message from Warwick mayor Terry Morris, and photos of previous festivals. These include the popular café, a visit from Father Christmas, and carols from Royal Spa Brass.
Father Christmas has also sent a special message for the children of Warwick.
The rector of St Mary’s, Vaughan Roberts, introduces the website and promises that the festival will return in 2021, bigger than ever.
