POSTCARDS against Brexit have been hand-delivered by Warwick residents to Parliament.
Members of Warwick District 4 Europe headed to London to deliver 200 postcards emblazoned with the words ‘but we didn’t vote to leave without a deal’ and signed with messages from residents.
They were given to Warwick and Leamington MP Matt Western in a bid to urge him to do all he can to prevent the suspension of parliament and a no-deal Brexit.
Campaign group chair, Peter Corkill said: “More than 200 constituents have now filled in one of our postcards which quote Michael Gove, one of the leaders of the Leave campaign and now a prominent member of Government. He said ‘but we didn’t vote to leave without a deal’. Unfortunately, that is precisely what he and Boris Johnson are now threatening.
“It would be followed by years of uncertainty while we try and replace the trade deals we already have through the EU.”
