LOCAL talent will be showcased at Stratford Pursuits Festival next weekend.
Returning for its third consecutive year, the family festival held on the recreation ground will feature local artisans and makers, live entertainment from local performers, children’s activities, food stalls and bars on Saturday (May 9) and Sunday (May 10).
Live performances from Stratford favourites, Texan Peacocks, Honor Isabella and Porpell Grass will take place across the weekend.
There will also be a special performance by some of the town’s young people thanks to a collaboration between Escape Arts and Top of the Rock music tuition.
Other highlights include interactive workshops and a free Sunday morning yoga session for early attendees at the bandstand. And various community groups will be offering visitors the opportunity to engage with local organisations and participate in trial activities.
The free event is sponsored by Stratford Town Council and the Crowne Plaza.
A town council spokesperson said: “The council is delighted to support the festival for its third consecutive year. It has quickly become a highlight of our community calendar, bringing people together and creating a wonderful sense of fun and connection throughout the town.”
