SHOPPERS can strike gold by visiting Leamington town centre in the run-up to Christmas.
They have the chance to win prizes donated by town centre businesses in this year’s Golden Ticket competition which launches on Sunday when the town’s lights are switched-on.
Customers making purchases in participating retail outlets up Wednesday, December 20 will be given a golden ticket to enter a prize draw online. A star prize of jewellery from Peter Stephan Jewellers will be up for grabs, along with 12 prize packages valued at over £200 each.
More than 70 businesses, including new for this year Our Secret, Patisserie Valerie and The Entertainer, are taking part in the festive giveaway which is organised by BID Leamington to encourage customer loyalty and attract visitors for Christmas shopping.
The launch of the Golden Ticket coincides with the switch on of the town centre’s Christmas lights on Sunday.
Free car parking will be available for shoppers on those Thursday evenings after 5pm in the Royal Priors Shopping Centre, and at Riverside House, Milverton Hill, on weekends until Sunday December 24.
BID Leamington will also again be deploying ‘Christmas Parking Angels’ to help shoppers find car parking spaces, offer maps and give advice about events in the town, including a ‘Selfie With Santa’ competition and the Leamington Lantern Parade on Sunday December 3.
