A PROTEST is to be held in Leamington against government’s Parliament suspension.
Labour Party activists and community campaigners are organising the rally, which will be held on Saturday (August 31) at 12noon in the Pump Room Gardens.
It is being held to oppose Prime Minister Boris Johnson shutting down Parliament in the week beginning September 9 until October 14 – just weeks before Brexit.
Local Labour Party chair Stef Parkins said: “This is a crucial moment in the history of our nation. If we fail to take action now, Boris Johnson’s plans will lead to the vandalism of our democracy.”
