Pulling pints with Shakespeare

SHAKESPEARE can be seen in many places in Stratford but rarely gracing the top of a pint.

But that will change during English Tourism Week, which runs from March 17 to 26, when The Coach House on Rother Street, will be adding an image of Stratford’s most famous son to their Guinness Stoutie Machine.

Visitors and residents alike will be able to opt to have a picture of the Bard added to their pint of Guinness.

Katie McPhilimey, marketing director of Davenports said; “It’s important that we all play our part in promoting the area, and this special week celebrating English Tourism really wouldn’t be complete without an appearance by the great writer himself, William Shakespeare.

“As guests take their first sip of their pint whilst staring down at his face, they’ll be reminded of Stratford’s great history.”

Guests can opt to have a number of images or a selfie on their pint, in addition to Shakespeare at The Coach House, winner of two Best Pub Awards last year.
