Pupils learn how to stay safe online

Leamington Editorial 14th Feb, 2017   0

TECH-savvy youngsters in Warwick are ensuring they stay safe online.

Pupils at Ridgeway School joined in with the global Safer Internet Day campaign to promote responsible use of technology.

The Deansway school spent the day speaking out about digital issues they have been affected by and even making their own films.

Assistant headteacher Lisa Morris said: “Online safety is everyone’s responsibility, the internet is a part of life for many children and adults and the potential for the internet to be a valuable and a fun resource for entertainment, making friends, keeping in touch and learning is huge.

“In the same way you learn about safety when you leave the house, it is important to learn how to stay safe online.”
