QUIZZERS are being urged urged to get their thnking caps at The British Motor Museum.

The Gaydon museum is hosting a new Quiz Night on Tuesday November 9, in the first of a new series of Museum Lates running over the winter months.

The quiz will be led by Danny Hopkins, editor of Practical Classics Magazine. All proceeds of the event will go towards the vital work of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust.

Teams can enjoy a fun night out while testing their knowledge of classic cars andother subjects. The evening includes a first round trail around the collections to find answers.

Pie and mash including vegan and vegetarian options will be served at 7.45pm – included in the ticket price. The bar will be open from 5.30pm for teams to buy drinks. The winning team will receive a cash prize.

Museum curator Catherine Griffin said: “We are delighted to be hosting our inaugural quiz which promises to be a great, fun night out. Don’t worry if you’re not a classic car buff, we promise there will be a mix of questions to keep you entertained.”

There is a maximum of six people per team. Tickets cost £15 each or £10 for members. Premium Members can attend the event free of charge. As this event is outside normal museum opening hours Annual Passes are not valid. Limited places available so early booking is advised.

* Visitors to the British Motor Museum will be able to redeem a £25 voucher on admission this autumn thanks to its participation in a new National Lottery Days Out campaign with VisitBritain, the national tourism agency.

National Lottery players who purchase a Lotto ticket from this October, will be able to redeem a £25 voucher against entry tickets to hundreds of tourist attractions and experiences across the UK including the British Motor Museum.

The voucher code can be redeemed through the VisitBritain Shop at NationalLotteryDaysOut.com. The £25 vouchers can be redeemed for a one off entry ticket to the museum, meaning a family of four would receive £25 off the family ticket price of £40.
