Railway pub landlord gets into the World Cup spirit

THE LANDLORD of The Railway in Warwick is really getting into the spirit of this year’s World Cup – in more ways than one.

Chris Bell has covered the Guy Street pub in flags from all of the 32 nations competing in the world’s biggest football tournament.

And it seems the decorations have been catching the eye of many as they pass through the town.

But despite the multitude of world flags, Chris’ true allegiance is clear – as a giant cross of St George takes pride of place on the centre of the building.

England are set to take on Uruguay in a crunch match at the Arena de Sao Paulo tonight (Thursday) with defeat leaving Roy Hodgson’s young lions on the brink of an early exit from the competition.
