THE REFURBISHED swimming pool at St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre is set to make a splash when it reopens on Thursday (September 21).
The 25m, six lane pool and new changing facilities are part of an extensive £14million renovation by Warwick District Council.
The centre – which is being managed by providers Everyone Active – will offer swimming lessons and aqua fit classes.
The changing rooms include individual, family and school group facilities.
Warwick District Council spokesman for culture, councillor Michael Coker said: “The re-opening of the swimming pool at St Nicholas Park, along with the new changing rooms, is another milestone in our ambitious projects to improve the leisure centres in the district.
“Despite a number of challenges, our construction partners Speller Metcalfe have worked closely with the project team and Everyone Active, to get the facility open ahead of schedule and enable customers to return to their exercise regimes. We now look forward to the completion of the gym, studios and reception areas at this site in spring 2018.”
Everyone Active manages Abbey Fields Swimming Pool, Castle Farm Recreation Centre, St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre, John Atkinson Sports Centre and Meadow Community Sports Centre in partnership with Warwick District Council.
