Remembering those murdered on Holocaust Memorial Day

Ian Hughes 12th Jan, 2020   0

HOLOCAUST Memorial Day will be marked in Warwick on Monday January 27.

There will be a short 25 minute service and readings at the War Memorial in Church Street starting at 11am.

The international day – marking the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp – remembers the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, and the millions of people killed under Nazi Persecution and in genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

The Tourist Information Centre, in the Court House on Jury Street, will also play host to an exhibition during the week of the memorial day, with information on the Holocaust and other genocides.

All are welcome to attend the service and exhibition.
