Repair Cafe in Leamington open for business this weekend

THE REPAIR Cafe is opening its doors in Leamington on Saturday (July 2 for any residents with items they need fixing.

The team of repairers will be on hand, tool belts ready, at the SYDNI Centre in Cottage Square, Sydenham, between 11am and 2pm.

They are inviting anyone, from community organisations and businesses to individuals, with items that may otherwise have ended up in the bin, to bring them along for a touch of TLC.

Any object is not beyond their remit, from broken bikes and garden machinery to furniture, lamps and electrical items – even toys and clothes.

The repair team has tackled repairs at the SYDNI Centre in the past – mending a table tennis table, chairs and the cafe’s bain-marie, to name just a few items.

And if the team are unable to fix something, they say at least it can then be disposed of with a clear conscience.

Repairs are free but donations are welcome.

Contact the SYDNI Centre on 01926 422071 or go to the Repair Café Leamington Spa Facebook page for more information.
