A TEAM of volunteers in Warwickshire are always ready to go to the rescue.
The Warwickshire Search and Rescue (Warksar), part of Lowand Rescue, work on a similar basis to RLNI and Mountain Rescue, undertaking emergency response searches for vulnerable lost persons in the county, under direction of the police.
The Warksar team, includes serving police officers and medics, is 100 per cent self-funding volunteer team comprising of foot, dog and kayak search teams on a 24/7 call out standing.
The team, which recently held a training weekend at Snitterfield, is always keen to hear from potential new recruits and fund-raisers.
