Residents urged to share views on polling stations

Leamington Editorial 1st Oct, 2023   0

COUNCILLORS have approved a review of polling districts, places and stations in Warwick district.

It will start on Monday (October 2) and will allow residents to comment on the current polling station they use.

Warwick district returning officer Chris Elliott said: “The review is important to ensure that the polling stations in wards across the district are accessible for all electors.

“The current review will be open to all, giving the electorate a chance to have their say on the current polling stations and provide an opportunity to suggest alternative venues that would better meet the needs of residents.”

All polling districts and places are reviewed at least every five years, and this year’s review will conclude on December 22

A survey will be live on the Warwick District Council website from Monday for residents to submit comments on the recommendations, and this will close on November 10.

Paper copies will be available by emailing the council’s election team at [email protected] or by calling the team on 01926 456105.
