Road closure as work on Stratford's water works get under way

MOTORISTS face diversions as work gets under way to improve water pressure for Stratford residents.

Seven Trent is carrying out works which includes improvements on Gospel Oak Lane. The project got underway on Monday (August 28) and will see £70,000 invested in the installation of a new network pump, associated fittings and pipework.

The work will last around two-and-a-half weeks.

Gospel Oak Lane will be closed and a signed diversion will be in place. Access will be retained to homes and businesses throughout.

Seven Trent spokesperson Shannon Currall said: “We absolutely understand how frustrating roadworks can be and we only ever ask the council for a road closure when it’s absolutely necessary to keep people safe and to deliver the work quickly.”
