A ROCK band from Leamington is hoping their new music video will encourage men to talk about a ‘taboo’ subject.
Luna Kiss were practicing when they began discussing the topic of men’s mental health – something they feel is not talked about enough.
All members of the four-piece agreed they did not prioritise their mental health or talk about their feelings enough.
And with suicide the number one killer of men age 20 to 49, they believe something must change.
The quartet – who all studied at Warwickshire College’s Leamington and Stratford sites – have released a music video encouraging their male fans to talk and raising awareness for mental health charity Mind.
The song ‘Close’ is taken from their album released last year called Following Shadows.
Drummer James Pedley, 29, said: “We want to help break this taboo subject and tell men it’s ok to talk about your thoughts and feelings.
“The video is about being locked in your thoughts but eventually finding a positive way out.
“We really want to get people talking and raise awareness for Mind which is an amazing mental health charity.”
