INQUISITIVE pupils in Warwick will not be lost for words over the summer holidays.
Warwick Rotary Club president David Brain has gifted children from seven town primary schools with their own illustrated dictionary.
The gesture was part of the organisation’s worldwide Dictionary4life project which, in 12 years, has helped more than 750,000 children to improve their literacy.
Mr Brain said: “Rotary has been giving out children’s dictionaries for a number of years, so eventually every child will get one. They are so thrilled to have a book of their own and we always get letters of thanks from the children.”
