YOUNGSTERS were treated to a thrilling day out by Warwick Rotary Club.

Charity Kids Out organised the annual Big Day Out for children in conjunction with Rotary Clubs across the country.

And this year 40 youngsters from across the district joined some 5,000 children and carers at Drayton Manor Theme Park which was closed to the public for the day.

Molly Olly’s Wishes received £1,000 towards their work with sick children – in the last year the wishes of 120 youngsters were granted by the charity.

And the Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital were also given £1,000 which will be used to help make the unit more comfortable for patients undergoing chemotherapy.

The money came from the club’s fundraising efforts collecting donations at shops and in raffles. The charities were nominated by club president Jon Wassall.
