Runners urged to be ready for week early start for Regency Run

RUNNERS from across the region are being encouraged to dust off their trainers a week early for this year’s Wright Hassall Regency Run.

The 10k charity run returns to the streets of Leamington in 2020 for its 16th year – but will be held in March for the first time.

Up to 2,500 runners are set to take to the town’s parks and streets on Sunday March 29.

The annual run is organised by the Leamington Round Table with proceeds donated to local causes and this year will also see the running of the popular 1km Kids Run Free Race.

Sam Tyler, Race Director and member of the Leamington Round Table, added: “The Regency 10k is a highly-anticipated event for local runners and we’re hoping that this year will be the biggest yet with lots of people registering.

“The 10k run is the perfect training session ahead of the London Marathon in April.

“The clocks go forward on the day of the run, so people need to make sure they set their watches and alarm clocks”
