SANTA and his elves raced around Leamington to support Myton Hospice.
The charity saw more people than ever take part in its Santa Dash – with 1,200 people running and walking around the 5k route around Victoria Park.
And dogs took part in the action too, with Nico the King Charles Cavalier taking home first prize for his festive outfit.
The event is expected to raise £38,000 for the charity.
Myton Hospice spokeswoman Rebecca Richards said: “It was fantastic to see so many santas, elves and dogs take part in this year’s Santa Dash to make it our biggest one yet. We cannot thank everyone enough for their support, without our participants, volunteers and suppliers, events like this would not be possible.
“While most of us will be celebrating with family and friends on December 25, there will be people spending Christmas in one of our hospices or receiving a visit at home from a Myton nurse – we wouldn’t be able to be there for these people without the money raised at our events.
“Everyone who has been involved with Santa Dash helps us spread some Myton magic at Christmas.”
