Sea Cadets scoop welcome donation

A CHARITY inspiring young people is riding the crest of a wave after receiving a welcome donation.

The Leamington and Warwick Cadets, which teaches young people skills such as catering, engineering, boating and sailing, has received just over £1,000 from the Asda Foundation.

The donation will fund a set of embroidered sports tops with the Leamington and Warwick crest for the cadets which celebrates its 75th anniversary in September.

Chairman Robert Payne, said: “The donation has ensured that the group look professional when participating in district and national competitions and has been a massive help with providing group belonging in the children.

“It is incredibly beneficial to us as a community to work with and be supported by local businesses such as Asda.”
