CRAFTY youngsters can create their very own feathered friends inspired by Shakespeare.
Birds of Shakespeare craft sessions are taking place at Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall in Stratford over the summer holidays.
Visitors can decorate a wooden bird in a design of their choice and either take it home or add it to the menagerie in the Master’s Chamber.
Shakespeare often referenced birds in his plays and sonnets. It is believed that over 60 different species of birds are featured within his work – including Britain’s most endangered bird, the turtle dove.
Birds of Shakespeare kits cost £2 and workshops run until August 31.
