Shakespeare's spookiest plays to be performed live in the Birthplace gardens

LIVE performances from some of Bard’s spookiest plays are being staged in the gardens of Shakespeare’s Birthplace.

The team from Events From History will be in the gardens every day during half-term, from Saturday (October 28) to Sunday November 5, performing plays from Shakespeare’s First Folio.

Visitors can expect to witness performances of some of the most gruesome Shakespeare scenes, from Macbeth and Hamlet to Richard III and Julius Caesar as well as some of the lesser-known plays, including Cymbeline and many more.

Shakespeare Birthplace Trust spokesperson Rachael North said: “We are delighted to welcome back the team from Events From History for the October half-term. Following their remarkable and memorable performances in the summer, we cannot wait for our visitors to be re-immersed in the spine-chilling retelling of some of Shakespeare’s most loved plays found in the First Folio.”

Performances run every 20 minutes from 10am to 4pm.
