SINGER-songwriter Annie Dressner is set to play the Temperance bar in Leamington on Monday night (September 13).
Since moving from her hometown of NYC to the UK eleven years ago, Annie has garnered rave reviews for her recordings and live performances.
Having released three full length albums, Annie has gone from strength to strength. Her straightforward lyrical style, sharp ear for wordplay and crisp, lilting vocals offer listeners a front row seat to her stories.
Her music has drawn comparisons to an up-tempo Mazzy Star and an understated Jenny Lewis.
Annie’s latest album, a collaboration with David Ford, titled ’48 Hours’, reached number 23 in ‘The Official Folk Albums Chart’.
Her songs have received considerable airplay on Radio 2 and 6 Music as well as Radio 1 via her co-write with Saturday Night Gym Club ‘The Nowhere Team.’
Annie has performed at the Green Man Festival, Secret Garden Party, Cambridge Folk Festival, Norwich Arts Centre and Cambridge Junction among countless other venues and has shared stages with Echobelly, Emily Barker, Simone Felice and The East Pointers.
Recently, she was shortlisted for Female Artist of the Year 2020 by Fatea Magazine.
Annie performs at the Temperance bar in Bath Street from 7pm.
