Six-year-old tackles charity run in memory of mum

A BRAVE six-year-old took part in a tough physical challenge in memory of his mother.

Archie Lavin, from Ashorne, recently took on the Junior Tough Mudder – a five kilometre cross-country trial of mud, pits and slime at Eastnor Castle.

After his mother passed away due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, his dad Simon explained it to him and he was then determined to raise money for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

Originally setting a target of £600, Archie, with the help of his three friends – Amelia, Bea, and Thomas – raised almost £2,800.

A fund-raising page has also been set up at https://www.justgiving.com/Archie-Amelia-Thomas/ to encourage as many people as possible to donate.
