Leamington Editorial 11th Nov, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

A BRAVE six-year-old took part in a tough physical challenge in memory of his mother.

Archie Lavin, from Ashorne, recently took on the Junior Tough Mudder – a five kilometre cross-country trial of mud, pits and slime at Eastnor Castle.

After his mother passed away due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, his dad Simon explained it to him and he was then determined to raise money for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

Originally setting a target of £600, Archie, with the help of his three friends – Amelia, Bea, and Thomas – raised almost £2,800.

A fund-raising page has also been set up at to encourage as many people as possible to donate.
