SMITH Street is gearing up for a party to celebrate independent businesses.
With the annual Folk Festival set to be held this weekend, shops and restaurants will be spilling on to the street to join in with the festivities between 10am and 8pm on Saturday (July 28).
There will also be entertainers, craft stalls, street food and live music at the event, which is being organised by Warwick District Council.
Council business spokesman Coun Noel Butler said: “This year’s Party on Smith Street is a celebration of the many independent businesses both old and new that combine to make Smith Street so special.
“These are challenging times for our retailers and I hope those visiting the festival will come along and join in the fun and also see the individual delights the shops have to offer from bespoke clothing, unusual gift ideas, hair and beauty treatments and a variety of food options.
“Smith Street is a delightful area to explore and whether you’re new to Warwick or not, the party will be sure to give you a reason to return.”
