FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a large field fire in Burton Green.
Those living in houses around the field on Red Lane near Kenilworth were told to keep windows and doors closed as the blaze took hold at around 5pm on Sunday (July 8).
Some 20 firefighters tackled the fire.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service advised people to be safe if using flames in grassy areas.
A spokesman said: “Please take extra care in grass and woodland areas. The grass is very dry and will spread quickly, endangering wildlife and potentially homes and businesses.”
