BOX office records have been smashed and nearly £10,000 raised for charity at Leamington’s Spa Centre pantomime.
Over the festive season some 27,000 people watched performances of Snow White – ten per cent more than the previous highest total for a panto.
And the generous audience donated thousands of pounds to local homeless support charity Helping Hands.
Charity volunteers attended each performance with buckets to collect donations, which totaled nearly £10,000.
Helping Hands spokeswoman Alice Webber said: “We want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the Spa Centre for supporting us over the festive season and allowing us to build on our work across the local area giving a hand up and not just a hand out to local individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet.”
This year’s pantomime will be Aladdin. Visit www.royalspacentreandtownhall.co.uk for further details.
