SPA Speakers certainly have the gift of the gab.
Members of the Leamington-based toastmasters recently scooped top spots in public speaking contests.
The group which is part of Toastmasters International – a worldwide organisation specialising in public speaking and leadership skills – competed in two contests against four other West Midlands clubs.
Fiona Clayton and Neil McCoy-Ward came first and second in the speech contest, and Jasvinder Kandula came out top in the evaluation contest.
The club meets on the second, fourth and fifth Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at the Helen Ley Care Home in Bericote Lane, Leamington.
Club president Fiona said: “Our members join the club for a variety of reasons but we all come along wanting to learn, which we do in a very supportive, friendly environment.
“We are a thriving club and most importantly we have fun whilst improving our skills in speaking and leadership. Guests are always made to feel very welcome and can come along for free to see if it’s for them.”
