Spectacle of Light returns to Compton Verney

THERE is a chance to trip the light fantastic at Compton Verney later this winter.

The Spectacle of Light is returning to the art gallery for 2023 with new light and sound installations.

The historic Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown-landscaped grounds – which was transformed into a series of night-time light installations earlier this year – will feature new installations including multi-coloured Crocus, the walk-through Kaleidoscope, immersive Submergence and a panorama of Ziggurats across the lake.

The trail runs from the welcome centre, through the woodland, along the lake, over the bridge to the house, around the west gardens and back again.

Compton Verney chief executive Geraldine Collinge said: “Compton Verney is the perfect place to meet family and friends and our Spectacle of Light is another fantastic reason for people to come and visit. We are looking forward to welcoming more people to our grounds to enjoy art and creativity in the great outdoors.”

The Spectacle of Light runs from February 10 until March 5.
