SPORT-loving friends are trying to encourage others to get fit by launching their own brand of gymwear.
Sean Lawrence, Marcus Ridley and Nathan Willoughby – who all hail from Leamington – launched Tritan Athletes after making healthy lifestyle changes but struggling to find affordable sportswear.
The trio – who went to Myton and North Leamington schools – have spent months developing their range which they say is a quality and affordable option to the big players such as Nike and Adidas.
Apprentice electrician Sean told the Observer: “Tritan is different to other brands as what is driving us is our passion for health and changing our lives through the better by going to the gym.
“We’re not interested in profits, we just want to encourage others to make lifestyle changes and do the same.
“We want to make Tritan Athletes interactive so everyone can be part of it. We want to be seen as a different kind of gym brand rather than just another one.”
The team wanted their name to reflect their passion for exercise so chose to merge two words together – Tri to reflect the three of them and Titan to represent power.
And since humble beginnings on a facebook page last year, the brand has gone from strength to strength, now amassing a number of followers who regularly photograph themselves wearing their t-shirts in the gym.
The shirts – which cost £15 – are currently the only item available, but the trio are working hard to expand their range.
Nathan said: “Tritan Athletes started off a tiny hobby but it very quickly escalated in to something we want to put our time and effort into to ensure it works. Currently it’s being worked around our full time jobs but we would love for this to one day become all we do.
“The reaction to our clothes has been great so far, and if we can encourage just one person to rethink their lifestyle choices it will be worth it.”
