Sporty pupils qualify for national championships

SPORTY pupils at a Kenlworth school have qualified for national athletics finals.

Five pupils from Crackley Hall School made it to this year’s ISA’s National Track and Field Championships after winning gold medals at the regional qualifying event.

Emily Divers (Year 6) qualified for the 150m sprint, James Coleman (Year 6) for the 150m sprint, Patrick Fuchss (Year 5) for the long jump, Leo Clarke (Year 4) for the 600m and Jessie Johnson (Year 4) for the long jump.

The school’s director of sport, Kat Vaughan said: “The atmosphere was amazing and our Crackley children really stepped up with team spirit second to none, with every child supporting their peers, regardless of event or year group. I am very proud that so many children have qualified for the national championships.”

The national championships take place at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on June 19.
