STAFF at a Leamington law firm put their best foot forward to take on an epic challenge for charity – alongside one of its most active fund-raisers.
Employees at Wright Hassall stepped up to the challenge alongside the company’s IT Director Martyn Wells, who raised nearly £40,000 taking on the 245-mile Cape Wrath in the Scottish Highlands.
Martyn, who was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in 2017 and now raises funds regularly for Macmillan Cancer Support, took on the challenge, while facing extreme conditions, as his colleagues endeavoured to walk in his footsteps on the treadmill.
Colleagues matched Martyn’s total distance by running, jogging and walking on treadmills at the Wright Hassall office raising a combined total of nearly £1,000.
Account manager Jennie Cooper said: “The whole team loved being able to support Martyn in his trek, although the conditions we faced on the treadmill in the office were definitely more favourable that the extreme weather Martyn faced.”
