ROBBERS armed with a meat cleaver are being hunted by police after ‘terrifying’ staff in a Whitnash store.
Three men robbed a One Stop on Heathcote Road at around 6.15am this morning (August 16).
Nobody was hurt but the trio left with a quantity of cash after demanding money from staff.
They fled the scene in a Renault Clio.
Det Sgt Collette O’Keefe said: “I would appeal for anyone who witnessed what happened or saw anything suspicious in the area before or after the incident.
“We’d also be keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time with dash cam footage.
“Fortunately nobody was hurt although staff were left shocked following what was a terrifying ordeal.”
