Star Wars fans could be sitting on a fortune

Leamington Editorial 11th Jan, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

STAR Wars fans are being urged to have a rummage for buried treasure from a galaxy far far away.

Hansons Auctioneers – who host their regular monthly valuation day in Kenilworth next week – say people could be in possession of a small fortune – particularly if it is from the original films of the 1970s and 80s.

Action figures and other spin-off products from the original films can be worth thousands. A full set of 12 Palitoy figures from 1977 can be worth £20,000, while Lego’s Millennium Falcon can fetch up to £4,000.

Toy experts will be on hand at Hansons’ monthly free valuation day in Kenilworth next week. It takes place at St Francis of Assisi Church Hall on Warwick Road on Thursday January 21, from 10am to 4pm.

Hansons will have a special Sta Wars section in a sale next month.
